2016 NFL Draft Recap/New Depth Charts: NFC PLAYOFF HOPEFULS

Instead of doing pointless "draft grades" I just plugged in key draft picks to see how they fit on their new team

Here is my color code:

Has a good chance to be a starter by next season
Quality depth
Need not addressed in the draft
Key 2017 Unrestricted Free Agent

NFC PLAYOFF HOPEFULS
Vegas predicts these teams will be fighting for a playoff spot late in the year.

Vegas odds project them to win 8.5-7.0 games

NEEDS:
Multiple LB'sThey have the worst LB core in the league and it isn't even close. They need to add a play maker in the first or second round. Then take another late in the draft.
O-Line:  The G-Men need more bodies to keep the pressure off of Eli. Flowers really struggles as a rookie at LT. The right side is terrible so upgrades are needed.
FS:  Landon Collins is better suited to play in the box. They need to find a rangy FS in the second or third round.
#2 WR:  It's scary to think that Beckham could be better if he wasn't double teamed every play.
TE:  Is Larry Donnell really the answer here?
#3 CB

Jordan Howard

NEEDS:
Pass Rusher:  They have a solid trio of pass rushers but Fox and Fangio need a young athletic impact pass rusher
LT/O-Line:  Massie is the current LT.  They need to draft a LT so they can move Massie to RT and then move Long inside to guard.
DB Depth: Upgrades are needed everywhere
TE: The Bears have a need at TE after trading Martellus Bennett to New England.
Young QB:  Is Cutler the long term solution in Chi Town?

Joe Dahl
RB:
Ameer Abdullah-Young/2015 2nd RD/showed very few flashes as a rookie
3rd down: Theo Riddick-Good in role
Power: Dwayne Washington

NEEDS:
OT:  Reiff is solid but would be better at RT. They could then move Ola and Schwartz inside or use them as rotational tackles
D-Line Depth: Ansah is a beast, but Ngata,Walker and Taylor are average at best.
WR:  Tate is good but he can't replace the loss of Calvin Johnson
DB Depth: Slay had a breakout year and proved he is one of the best corners in the league. Diggs was a pleasant surprise as a rookie and Quin is a reliable starter. However they have unproven guys at SS and CB.

1 16 Taylor Decker | OT, Ohio State
Height: 6-7 Weight: 320

RG: Brandon Scherff-Young/2015 1st RD/Good as a rookie
RT:  Morgan Moses-Good/Young/2014 3rd RD
RB:
Matt Jones-Young/2015 3rd RD

NEEDS:
D-Line:  They were horrible against both the run and the pass. Chris Baker is the only reliable starter on the defensive line. Expect them to use two early round picks here.
ILBs:  Need LB's that can cover TE's
Big WR: Garcon, Jackson and Crowder are all good but all of them are just under 6 feet tall.
Speed RB: Matt Jones showed flashes as a rookie. At 6-1/231, he is the perfect early down power back, however a fast change of pace guy is needed by passing downs.
DB Depth:  Culliver has been a disappointment and Hall is no longer an impact player.
NOTE: Signed Josh Norman a week before the draft

NEEDS:
MLB and WLB:  Quinn wants fast stud backers similar to what he coached in Seattle
Pass Rusher:  They drafted Vic Beasley last year, now they need another guy across from him
DB Depth: Trufant is a stud, but the rest of the secondary is either average or unproven.
TE: Matt Ryan still misses Tony Gonzalez, time to find a young option at TE.
#2 WR:  Jones may be the best WR in football but neither Hardy nor Sanu has proven to be a true second option
