2023 NBA FREE AGENCY RANKINGS and LISTS

  This year’s free agent class is not as top heavy as year’s past but it is very deep. Only a few teams are under the salary cap . The Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs are the only teams that can afford one max guy or multiple starters. Other teams with cap space more than the Mid-Level Exception include the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic. Most other teams will spend their time, efforts and money on retaining their own free agents. FRIDAY MORNING JUNE 30th UPDATES:  James Harden  opted into the final year of his  $35,640,000 contract. The 76ers are looking to trade him.    Nikola Vučević signed a 3-year $60,000,000 extension.  Harrison Barnes signed a 3-year $54,000,000 extension.  Jordan Clarkson  opted into the final year of his  $14,260,000 contract.  Josh Hart  opted into the final year of his  $12,960,000 contract.  Here is my list by tiers: Tier 1:  Stars that are #1/2 options on playoff teams  All a
