MY NFL TOP 100 PLAYERS LIST: NUMBERS 21-30
For the final 30 players I decided to go in reverse order.
30. Tamba Hali-KC-OLB/PR #6
He just produces every year at a high rate as he continues to prove that he is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.
29. Eric Weddle-SD-FS #1
All he did in 2011 was lead the NFL in interceptions, finish third on his team in tackles, made the Pro Bowl and first team All-Pro. He's still one of the most underrated players in the league. Right now he's the best safety in the game.
28. Roddy White-ATL-WR #4
He was second in the NFL in catches and people were saying that he had 'down' year. On the actual players list they ranked him as the #10 WR. What does this man need to do to prove that he's elite?
27. Terrell Suggs-BAL-OLB/PR #5
Back to back double digit sack seasons after a down year in 2009. Suggs and Haloti Ngata have replaced Ray Lewis and Ed Reed as the anchors of the Ravens top tier defense.
26. Jimmy Graham-NO-TE # 2
The Graham vs. Gronk debate for top TE in the NFL will continue for the next 5-8 years. Graham had a huge second year leading all TE's in catches while finishing second to Gronk in TD's and yards.
25. Rob Gronkowski-NE-TE #1
He had a brake out year where he set a NFL record for TD's by a TE with 17. He was recently given a major contract and at only 23 years old he will be a star in this league for a long time.
24. Patrick Willis-SF-ILB #1
He had a down year by his standards but he's still the best inside linebacker in the game.
23. Julius Peppers-CHI-DE/PR #4
Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs are important but Peppers is the most important player on the Bear defense. The Panthers defense is still reeling from his departure tow years ago.
22. Joe Thomas-CLV-OT #2
How does the best offensive lineman in the NFL, a man who has made the Pro Bowl every year of his five year career rank as #82 on the actual players list? Thomas gets no love because of his position and because he plays in Cleveland. I show him love on this list by placing him in the top 25 where he actually belongs.
21. Wes Welker-NE-WR #3
The Patriots gave Gronk a new deal, they should give Welker one as well. He's the most productive receiver in the league. Given Andre Johnson's injury issues, I'd take him over any WR in the league other than Megatron and Larry.
30. Tamba Hali-KC-OLB/PR #6
He just produces every year at a high rate as he continues to prove that he is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.
