2023 NFL Draft: Day Two Mock Draft
ROUND 2
32. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Joey Porter Jr-CB-Penn St6'3"/193/4.46
NFL Comp: Carlton Davis/Josh Norman
PFF Grade: 81.2
The native son comes home as the Steeler get the son of former
Steeler Joey Porter. The younger Porter has ideal size for a perimeter corner.
He is not as athletic as Gonzalez but is more physical and has just as much
upside. Porter would also have the perfect mentor in recently signed former All
Pro Patrick Peterson
33.
ARIZONA CARDINALS
Brian Branch-SS/Slot DB-Alabama
NFL Comp: Minkah Fitzpatrick/Jimmie Ward
PFF Grade: 89.5
Branch may be the most complete football player in the entire draft regardless of position. He plays a smart and physical brand of football. Due to the positional value safety not being as high as corner, Branch fell out of the first round. This pick makes unhappy Budda Baker easy to trade.
34.
DETROIT LIONS
Cam Smith-CB-South Carolina
6'1"/180/4.43
NFL Comp: Darius Butler/Kelly Jennings
PFF Grade: 81.2
Smith uses his combination of elite athletic tools and instincts to
make plays. He is not as physical as the corners ranked above him and most of
this is due to his slender frame. Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is a former
cornerback that was a 3-time Pro Bowler despite being very undersized. He will
see a lot of himself in Smith.
35. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Michael Mayer-TE-Notre Dame
6'5"/249
NFL Comp: Mark Andrews/Dalton
Schultz
67 receptions
809 total yards
9 TD
Mayer has the best combination of size, hands, quickness and IQ
of any in the class. He should start from day one and is among the safest picks
of any player in the draft. Mayer was an instant impact player at Notre Dame
even as a true freshman and should be able to contribute from day one in the
NFL. Mayer would be the perfect safety net to pair with new quarterback Anthony
Richardson.
36.
LOS ANGELES RAMS
Drew Sanders-LB-Arkansas
6’4”/235/32.13
NFL Comp: Clay Matthews Jr/Bryce Paup
PFF Grade: 79.2
9.5 sacks and 13.5 TFL
Sanders has proven that he can play both as an
edge rusher and inside backer. His versatility will be an asset to a creative
defensive coordinator. The Rams need to help at linebacker and need more
athletic guys that can rush the passer.
37.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
O'Cyrus Torrence-G-Florida
6'5"/330/33.88/23 reps
NFL Comp: Carl Nicks/Kelechi
Osemele
PFF Grade: 88.1
Starts: 46, all at Florida were at Right Guard
Torrence is a monster in the running game that
can also protect the quarterback. He reminds me of Nicks and Osemele who were
both physical guards and elite in the running game. The Seahawks seem to have
their bookends of the future in Charles Cross and Abram Lucas. The pair were
drafted in 2022 and both showed flashes as rookies. Now it is time for Seattle
to upgrade the interior of the line.
38. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Will Levis-QB-Kentucky
6’4”/229
NFL Comparison: Jay Cutler/Jeff George
Stats: 2-year Average:
2616 passing yards
27 total touchdowns
11.5 Interceptions
65.7 completion percentage
150.1 QB Rating
SCOUTING REPORT: HAS ROCKET ARM. I don't know if you have heard but Mr. Levis has an absolute
cannon for an arm. Levis brings his elite size, great athletic ability and
aforementioned insane arm strength. However, the numbers are less than stellar
as Levis has major problems with consistency. How far he drops on day two will
be the story of the draft. I think the Raiders are nice fit for Levis to
develop.
39. CAROLINA PANTHERS
Keion
White-DL5T/LDE-GA Tech
6'5"/285/34.0/30 reps/4.65
NFL Comp: Jason Hatcher/Malik Jackson
PFF Grade: 72.5
7.5 sacks 14 TFL
The Panthers take the local product from
Raleigh. White is a big physical player that is developing as a pass rusher. He would be an ideal 5 tech in the Panthers
3-4 base scheme.
40. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Darnell
Washington-TE-Georgia
6'7"/264
NFL Comp: Marcedes Lewis/Brandon Pettigrew
28 receptions
454 total yards
2 TD
Washington is HUGE Target with a massive wingspan that will also
help in the run game as a blocker. He also played in an offense where he was
the second tight end so he will be comfortable as a role player in any offense
that he lands. Washington is the best player on the board and really helps new
quarterback Derek Carr.
41. TENNESSEE TITANS
John Michael Schmitz-C/G-Minnesota
6'4"/301/32.63/26 reps
NFL Comp: Ted Karras/Mason Cole
PFF Grade: 92.3
Starts: 33 at Center
Schmitz is the best center prospect in the
class. He was the highest graded center according to Pro Football Focus. He has
a great blend of power and technique. The Titans are completely rebuilding their
once elite offensive line after they released starter Ben Jones.
42. GREEN BAY PACKERS
Josh Downs-WR-UNC
5'9"/171/4.48
NFL Comparison: Emmanuel Sanders/Davone
Bess
101 receptions
1335 total yards
8 TD
Downs has been under the radar in the draft process as JSN,
Addison, Flowers and even Jalin Hyatt seem to be getting more attention. Downs
is an elite slot weapon with his innate ability to stop on a dime. He is a slot
only option but that isn’t a bad thing. He would be a great player to help
Jordan Loves development.
43. NEW YORK JETS
Matthew
Bergeron-OT-Syracuse
6'5"/318/33.75
NFL Comp: Jordan Mills/Cam
Erving
PFF Grade: 75.2
Starts: 39, 31 at Left Tackle and 8 at Right Tackle
Bergeron is a very experienced player that
also provides great versatility. The Canadian prospect from Montreal improved
every season at Syracuse. The Jets need insurance if Mecki Becton is injured
again. The Jets window to win is now after acquiring Aaron Rodgers.
44.
ATLANTA FALCONS
Adetomiwa Adebawore-DL-Northwestern
6'2"/282/33.75/27 reps/4.49
NFL Comp: Dre'Mont Jones
PFF Grade: 73.8
5 sacks and 9 TFL
Adebawore is actually faster than Kancey but
is not quite the player that Kancey is. His physical tools are evident. What is
not known is what position he will play in the NFL as he is end/tackle tweener
that lacks the size on the interior and length to play base end. Atlanta has
great veterans in place with Calais Campbell and Grady Jarrett so Adebawore can
be brought along slowly.
45. GREEN BAY PACKERS
BJ Ojulari-EDGE-LSU
6'2"/248/34.25
NFL Comp: Uchenna Nwosu/Yannick Ngakoue
PFF Grade: 76.3
7 sacks and 12 TFL in 2021
Ojulari is short in height yet has long arms
and very large hands. He has the ability to play down on the line but is at his
best as a stand-up edge player. His best trait is his pursuit ability on both
quarterbacks and ball carriers.
46.
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Cody Mauch-G/RT-North Dakota St
6’5”/302/32.38/29 reps
NFL Comparison: Josh Sitton/Kevin
Dotson
PFF Grade: 90.8
Starts: 39, 37 at LT and 2 at RT
Mauch not only looks like Sitton but plays
like him as well. He was a left tackle in college but will need to slide inside
at the NFL level. He could be a very good starter for a long time. The Patriots
have a history of drafting lineman that have shorter arms.
47.
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
Steve Avila-G-TCU
6'4"/332/33.0/28 reps
NFL Comp: Brandon Brooks/Larry
Warford
PFF Grade: 77.1
Starts: 35 (17 at center, 15 at LG, 2 at RT and 1 at RG)
Avila is just a notch below Torrence but fits
as a powerful blocker at guard. He is simply a bully that plays with a nasty
streak. Washington needs help on the inside of the offensive line.
48.
DETROIT LIONS
Luke Musgrave-TE-Oregon St
6'6"/253/4.61
NFL Comp: Martellus
Bennett/Cameron Brate
Musgrave is a physical freak athlete that has battled through
injuries. He really improved his draft stock at the Senior Bowl and Combine. He
has the best combination of size and athletic ability of any tight end in the
draft class. However, his injuries and lack of production are concerning.
49. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Trenton Simpson-LB-Clemson
6’3”/230/25 reps/4.43
NFL Comp: Ryan Shazier/Mike Peterson
PFF Grade: 68.7
6.5 sacks and 12.5 TFL in 2021
Simpson is an elite athlete that plays fast no
matter where he lines up. He is 230 but moves like a sub 200-pound DB. He has
shown ability as a blitzer, in coverage and in the open field. He looks like Pittsburgh
type of player similar to Ryan Shazier.
50. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Hendon Hooker-QB-Tennessee
6’3”/217
NFL Comparison: Dak Prescott/Geno
Smith
2022 Stats
3135 passing yards
27 total touchdowns
2 Interceptions
69.6 completion percentage
175.5 QB Rating
430 rushing yards
Hooker was on pace to win this Heisman before an ACL injury
ended his great season. He profiles as a solid option with limited upside. He
is also the oldest QB in the class at 25 years old. He has very good running
ability and a very good frame. He would battle Kyle Trask to become the starter
in Tampa. If Hooker is not picked here, then he likely falls out the second
round.
51. MIAMI DOLPHINS
Dawand Jones-RT-Ohio St
6'8"/374/36.38
NFL Comp: Trent Brown/Marcus McNeil
PFF Grade: 82.1
Starts: 14 at Right Tackle
Jones is simply a mountain of a human being that fits
perfect as a right tackle. He is a pretty safe prospect that knows how to use
his elite length as he did not give up a single sack in 2022. The Dolphins have
a major need at right tackle.
52.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Derick Hall-EDGE/LB-Auburn
6'3"/254/34.5/4.55
NFL Comp: Devon Kennard
PFF Grade: 71.2
9 sacks and 12.5 TFL in 2021
6.5 sacks and 11.5 TFL in 2022
Hall has elite speed and uses leverage well
coming off the edge. He also uses his quickness dropping into coverage and
could fit as a full-time outside backer. This is the type of player that Pete
Carrol loves.
53. CHICAGO BEARS
Joe Tippmann-C/G-Wisconsin
6'6"/303/32.75
NFL Comp: Graham Glasgow/Ethan
Pocic
PFF Grade: 78.4
Starts: 22 at Center
The Bears double dip on the offensive line
after drafting Darnell Wright in the first round. Tippman is not as experienced
at Schmitz but is a better athlete and has more size. Wisconsin lineman are
usually ready to play in the league from the get go.
54.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
Kelee Ringo-CB-Georgia
6’2”/207/4.36
NFL Comp: Jimmy Smith/Xavier Rhodes
PFF Grade: 71.4
Ringo is the textbook physical corner that can
press receivers at the line. He also has elite straight-line speed to mirror
receivers on long routes. His weakness is in his short area quickness and some
scouts see him as only a fit in a zone heavy scheme.
55.
DETROIT LIONS
Isaiah
Foskey-EDGE-Notre Dame
6'5"/264/4.58/22 reps
NFL Comp: Preston Smith/DJ Wonnum
PFF Grade: 77.2
10.5 sacks and 13.5 TFL
Foskey is another long, athletic pass rusher
that was very productive at South Bend. He is an ideal fit to play opposite
Aidan Hutchinson.
56.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Antonio Johnson-SS/Slot DB-TX A&M
6'2"/198/4.58
NFL Comp: Chris Conte/Duron Harmon
PFF Grade: 81.6
Johnson is a perfect fit as a slot DB. He has
excellent fundamentals as a tackler in the open field and as a blitzer. He
looks like a reliable safety that will likely never be a star but should have a
very nice career given his skill set.
57.
NEW YORK GIANTS
Cedric Tillman-WR-Tennessee
6’3”/213/4.39
NFL Comp: Keenan Allen/Kenny
Britt
2021 Stats:
64 receptions
1081 total yards
12 TD
Tillman is a physical receiver that is also a good route runner.
He has nice ability after the catch and is a redzone threat. Similar to Keenan
Allen in 2013, Tillman may slip to the 3rd Round or later due to
injury concerns. He could easily end up being the steal of this draft class. He
could provide what Kenny Golladay never did for the Giants.
58.
DALLAS COWBOYS
Jalin Hyatt-WR-Tennessee
6’0”/176/4.39
NFL Comp: Ted Ginn/Will
Fuller
67 receptions
1267 total yards
15 TD
Hyatt was the 2020 winner of the Biletnikoff Award after putting
up video game like numbers. 22 percent of his receptions were touchdowns in
2022. He was blazing speed and amazing abllity to get open. We have seen
similar great college player like Ted Ginn and Will Fuller have success as deep
threats but neither was a star like they were in college. This is likely to be
the case for Hyatt as he is limited by his size.
59.
BUFFALO BILLS
Zach
Charbonnet-RB-UCLA
6'0"/214/4.53
NFL Comp: Matt Forte/Justin
Fargas
1690 Total Yards
14 Touchdowns
37 receptions
Charbonet has a great combination of vision and speed. He also
showed ability as a pass catcher the past two seasons. Combine that with his
214-pound frame and you have a starting running back from day one. The question
is whether a team take him in the second or could he slip to the late day two.
60. CINCINNATI BENGALS
Sam LaPorta-TE-Iowa
6'3"/245/4.59
NFL Comp: Dallas Clark/Lance Kendricks
58 receptions
657 total yards
1 TD
LaPorta is a great pass catcher that would be great in an
offense that uses him in motion a lot. He
is a very interesting prospect as he is better than George Kittle as a prospect
coming out of Iowa. He is similar to another Iowa product in Dallas Clark in
2003. The pipeline continues.
61. CHICAGO BEARS
Tuli Tuipulotu-EDGE-USC
6'3"/266
NFL Comp: Trey Hendrickson/Dwight Freeney
PFF Grade: 82.1
13.5 sacks and 22 TFL
Tuli was a super productive no matter where he
lined up at USC. In the NFL he projects best as a 4-3 base end. The Bears
finally address the defensive side of the ball.
62. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Julius Brents-CB-Kansas St
6'3"/197/4.45/41.5 vert
NFL Comp: Trumaine Johnson/Tre Flowers
PFF Grade: 74.9
Brents really improved his stock at the
combine showing his combination of elite physical tools and size. He would have
time to develop if the Eagles draft him here.
63.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Marvin
Mims-WR/KR-Oklahoma
5'11"/183/4.38
NFL Comp: John Brown/Bernard
Berrian
54 receptions
1083 total yards
6 TD
Mims provides value as a deep ball threat and kick returner. He
has elite speed and is very elusive in the open field. Despite being a small
receiver, he does a good job in contested catch situations and high points the
football at an elite level.
ROUND 3
64. CHICAGO BEARS
DJ Turner-CB-Michigan
5'11"/178/4.26
NFL Comp: Jonathan Joseph/Fabian Washington
PFF Grade: 77.4
Turner was the fastest player at this year’s
combine. He needs that speed to make up for his size and lack of physicality.
His speed translates on the field covering the deep ball. The upside is there
if he can put it all together.
65.
HOUSTON TEXANS
Keeanu Benton-DL1T3T-Wisconsin
6'4"/309/33.88
NFL Comp: Bilal Nichols
PFF Grade: 73.6
7 sacks and 12 TFL in 2021
Nichols was mainly used as a nose tackle in
college but has the length and quickness to play the 3 tech at the NFL. The
Texans get another piece in a rebuilding defense.
66. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Tucker Kraft-TE-South Dakota St
6'5"/254/4.69/122’ broad jump
NFL Comp: Tyler Higbee/Todd Heap
The Eagles get a tight end from the same school as Dallas
Geodert. Kraft is a small school player that has a high upside due to his
combination of size and athletic ability. The jump from FCS to NFL will be a
big adjustment and learning curve for Kraft. Hopefully the team that drafts him
will be patient with his development.
67. DENVER BRONCOS
Daiyan Henley-WLB-WSU
6’1”/225/4.54
NFL Comp: Matt Milano
PFF Grade: 73.3
6.5 sacks and 12.5 TFL in 2021
Henley fits as the modern day ultra-athletic
weakside backer. He is fast enough to cover receivers and tight ends and strong
enough to be a factor in the run game.
68. DENVER BRONCOS
Tank
Dell-WR-Houston
5'8"/165/4.49
NFL Comp: Jamison Crowder/Troy
Walters
90 receptions
1329 total yards
12 TD
Dell overall 40 time was a disappointment for his slight frame
but his 10-yard spit was elite at 1.49 seconds. This really tells the story
with Dell who is a phenom in short area quickness. Jamison Crowder had the same
concerns about size and speed despite his insane college production at Duke.
Crowder ended up being a steal in the 4th round in 2015 and was a
productive slot receiver for several years. Russell Wilson gets his new Tyler Lockett here.
69.
LOS ANGELES RAMS
Jordan Battle-SS-Alabama
6’1”/209/4.55
NFL Comp: Morgan Burnett/Malcolm Jenkins
PFF Grade: 81.5
Battle was a three-year starter and one of the
leaders of a very talented defense. He is a great all-around football player
and among the safest player in this draft class. The Rams need guys that can
play right away.
70. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Tyrique
Stevenson-DB-Miami
6'0"/198/4.45
NFL Comp: Darius Slay/Bradley Roby
PFF Grade: 76.7
Stevenson feels like the most underrated
corner in this class. He passes the eye test as a long and athletic corner. He
has the tools to become the best corner in this class and an All Pro like
Darius Slay or may just turn into a solid pro corner like Bradley Roby.
71. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Clark Phillips III-Slot CB-Utah
5'9"/184/4.51
PFF Grade: 85.2
Phillips lack of size and elite speed will
lead most teams to view him as a slot corner only. However, he is a ballhawk as
evidenced by his 6 interceptions in 2022 and 13 pass breakups in 2021. He has
the tools to be an elite slot guy similar to Chris Harris in his prime.
72. TENNESSEE TITANS
Devon Achane-RB/KR-TX A&M
5'9"/188/4.36
NFL Comp: Raheem Mostert at RB/Tyreek Hill at KR
1298 Total Yards
11 Touchdowns
36 receptions
Achane is a polarizing prospect because he is so fast and
elusive but so small as a running back. The fact is there just aren’t any
starting backs that are sub 190 pounds in the modern-day NFL. In theory a team
could try to use him as a Tyreek Hill as kick returner and gadget player, but
he is never going to be a Tyreek level receiver. The Titans had success with Chris
Johnson. Achane would be a great change of pace guy to pair with Derrick Henry.
73.
HOUSTON TEXANS
Luke Wypler-C/G-Ohio St
6'3"/303/31.63/29 reps
NFL Comp: Matt Paradis/Billy Price
PFF Grade: 82.4
Starts: 26 at Center
The Texans pair CJ Stroud with his college
center. Wypler is the next good center prospect from Ohio St. He was the 3rd
best center in the Big Ten yet would have been the best in any other
conference. Even as a junior he was seen as a leader on a team filled with
pros.
74. CLEVELAND BROWNS
Siaki
Ika-DL1T-Baylor
6'3"/335
NFL Comp: DJ Reader
PFF Grade: 74.4
Ika is a good a player, but a step slower than
Mazi Smith and Keanu Benton. He is the prototype run stuffing nose tackle. The
Browns need to give Myles Garrett help on the inside.
75.
ATLANTA FALCONS
Jayden Reed-WR/KR-Michigan St
5'11"/187/4.33
NFL Comp: Randall Cobb
2021 Stats
59 receptions
1026 total yards
10 TD
Reed was more productive in 2021 than 2022 due to the
shortcomings of the Spartan offense as a whole. He is a pretty tough player
given his size. He runs good routes and has good hands. He provides value as a return man and could carve a role as a
number three receiver.
76.
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Rashee
Rice-WR-SMU
6’1”/204/4.39/41” vert
NFL Comp: Michael
Gallup/Zay Jones
96 receptions
1355 total yards
10 TD
Rice has the best hands of anyone in the draft class and is
especially good in contested catch situations. He is the ideal well-rounded
receiver that blends speed, jumping ability and physicality. The main questions
concern coming from a spread offense where he did not need to run advanced
routes.
77.
LOS ANGELES RAMS
Jaelyn Duncan-OT-Maryland
6'6"/306/33.0
NFL Comp: Ricky Wagner/Cornelius
Lucas
PFF Grade: 61.7
Starts: 39 all but one at Left Tackle
Duncan has the physical traits but struggles
in pass protection. If he finds the right scheme, he could start at right
tackle or guard. The Rams have the worst offensive line in the league help ASAP.
78. GREEN BAY PACKERS
Blake Freeland-OT-BYU
6'7"/302/33.88/37 inch vertical (Combine
Record)
NFL Comp: Jared Veldheer/Alex
Barron
PFF Grade: 91.1
Starts: 41, 26 at Left Tackle, 15 at Right Tackle
Freeland is a freak athlete that has the
opportunity to become a solid starter in the NFL. The Packers would be a good
spot for him and give him time to develop.
79. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Zach Harrison-DL5T/EDGE-Ohio St
6'5"/274/85.5
NFL Comp: Deatrich Wise
PFF Grade: 86.1
Harrison is a solid base end but did not have great production
as a pass rusher. The Colts have a history of drafting lineman from the Big
Ten.
80. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Gervon Dexter-DL3T/5T -Florida
6'6"/310
NFL Comp: Montravius Adams
PFF Grade: 65.7
Dexter has a great combination of size, power,
length and speed. He was high level recruit but struggled with consistency at
Florida. He could be an eventual replacement for All Pro Cameron Hayward.
81.
DETROIT LIONS
Tanner
McKee-QB-Stanford
6’6”/231
NFL Comparison: Brock Osweiler/Matt Schaub
2022 Stats
2947 passing yards
15 total touchdowns
8 Interceptions
62.0 completion percentage
126.4 QB Rating
With 6 picks in the first 3 rounds, the Lions are in an ideal
spot to draft the big developmental quarterback from Stanford.
82. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
AT Perry-WR-Wake Forest
6’4”/198/4.47
NFL Comp: Marvin
Jones/Tre’Quan Smith
71 receptions
1293 total yards
15 TD
Perry is a Florida native that provides teams looking for a tall and
fast receiver a nice option on day two. He is an explosive deep threat that has
a nose for the endzone. He is the best in the class at adjusting to the
football and making contested catches. As a fan I hope he is paired with a deep
ball passer like Josh Allen or Russell Wilson.
83.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Jammie Robinson-S-FSU
5'11"/191
NFL Comp: Jordan Poyer/Duron Harmon
PFF Grade: 80.1
Robinson is a versatile defensive back that
lined up everywhere in college. Per PFF, Robinson played 633 snaps in the box,
759 deep and 1,348 from the slot. Hopefully he can land with a coordinator that
will find a way to maximize his versatility.
84. MIAMI DOLPHINS
JL Skinner-S-Boise St
6’4”/209
NFL Comp: Jayron Kearse/George Iloka
PFF Grade: 74.7
Skinner is a tall and long safety that
projects a big slot defensive back. He uses his frame to play with the
physicality of a linebacker. He is not as big as former Boise product George
Iloka (6’4”/225) but plays a very similar game.
85.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
Byron
Young-EDGE-Tennessee
6'2"/250/32.5/4.43/38.0 vert
NFL Comp: Samson Ebukam
PFF Grade: 63.6
7 sacks and 12 TFL
Young is among the fastest players at his
position. Right now, he looks like a situational pass rusher at the next level. The Chargers love developing athletic pass rushers.
86. BALTIMORE RAVENS
Andre
Carter-EDGE-Army
6'6"/256
NFL Comp: Mathias Kiwanuka
PFF Grade: 77.1
14.5 sacks and 17 TFL in 2021
Carter was projected to be a first round lock
after being very productive at West Point. However, he may drop into the 3rd
or 4th round after a subpar combine.
87.
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Sydney
Brown-S-Illinois
5'10"/211/4.47/40.5 vert
NFL Comp: Kurt Coleman
PFF Grade: 78.4
Brown is a physical and athletic player at the
safety position. He started five year at Illinois and has gotten better every
season.
88.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Andrew Vorhees-RT/G-USC
6'6"/310/38 reps
NFL Comp: Zach Piller/Ted
Larsen
PFF Grade: 81.9
Starts: 37, 25 at Right Guard, 8 at Left Guard and 4 at Left Tackle
Vorhees is a true locker room guy that will
not allow physical limitations to hurt him. He was injured at the combine and
couldn’t run yet still showed his massive power by putting up 38 reps on the
bench press. Jaguars GN Trent Baalke has a history of drafting high character guys with injury risks.
89.
NEW YORK GIANTS
Olu Oluwatimi-C-Michigan
6'3"/309
NFL Comp: Rodney Hudson/AQ
Shipley
PFF Grade: 80.4
Starts: 45 at Center
Oluwatimi took home both awards for the best
offensive lineman in college football. He has some limitations but he is a very
skilled and technical player that can make a roster.
90.
DALLAS COWBOYS
Garrett
Williams-CB-Syracuse
5'11"/192
NFL Comp: Rock Ya-Sin
PFF Grade: 71.1
Williams would likely be on the first-round
bubble had he not torn his ACL last season. He is a physical corner that would
fit best in a zone scheme. In a crowded corner class his draft landing spot may
have the biggest variance.
91.
BUFFALO BILLS
Ji'Ayir Brown-S-Penn St
5'11"/203
NFL Comp: Jordan Whitehead
PFF Grade: 78.7
Brown played in one of the best secondaries in
the nation in 2021 with Joey Porter Jr., Jaquan Brisker and Tariq
Castro-Fields. He was the most physical player in that secondary and was very
productive as he had 147 tackles the past two seasons. He lacks speed so he
will need to find a team that will use him primarily in the box.
92. CINCINNATI BENGALS
Christopher Smith-FS-Georgia
5'11"/192
NFL Comp: Jalen Mills
PFF Grade: 75.8
Smith is an undersized free safety that may be
better suited for a Nickel/Dime role at the next level. Jalen Mills has a near
identical build and used his versatility to be nice contributor on the Eagles
and Patriots.
93. CAROLINA PANTHERS
Jonathan
Mingo-WR-Ole Miss
6’2”/220/4.46
NFL Comp: Alshon Jeffery/Brian Quick
51 receptions
861 total yards
5 TD
Bryce Young gets a big WR that has size, speed and power. Mingo may go as high as the second round as he is shooting up draft boards
94.
ARIZONA CARDINALS
Tyjae Spears-RB-Tulane
5'10"/202/39” vert
NFL Comp: Aaron Jones
1837 Total Yards
21 Touchdowns
22 receptions
Spears is a great athlete that fits perfectly as a third down
back. He is a natural pass catcher even though he was not asked to do that as
much at Tulane. Like Aaron Jones,Spears was an ultra-productive every down
college back at a smaller school (UTEP 13-16). In the right situation he can
have a similar impact.
95.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Cory Trice
Jr-DB-Purdue
6’3”/206/4.47
NFL Comp: James Bradberry
PFF Grade: 75.4
Trice is yet another big and physical corner
that has the physical skills to play as a box safety if needed. He was pretty
unknown in the draft process but is now seeing his stock rise after an elite
showing at the combine. The only question is what position he will play on the
next level.
96.
ARIZONA CARDINALS
Luke
Schoonmaker-TE-Michigan
6'5"/252
NFL Comp: Heath Miller
35 receptions
418 total yards
3 Touchdowns
Schoonmaker is a steady inline tight end that can help in both
the pass and run games. He waited for his time at Michigan and was productive
as fifth-year senior last season. Teams know exactly what they are getting with
him as a player.
97.
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
Kayshon
Boutte-WR-LSU
5'11"/195
NFL Comp: Earl Bennett
2020 Stats
245 receptions
735 total yards
5 TD
Boutte has a good combination of ball skills, quickness and physicality.
Boutte looked like a first-round lock after his freshman season. He had a bad
leg injury in 2021 and had ankle problems last year. He was a top 25 prospect
coming out of high school and able to play right away at a place like LSU. The
talent is there but the question marks are too.
98. CLEVELAND BROWNS
Eli Ricks-CB-Alabama
6'2"/188
NFL Comp: Dre Kirkpatrick
PFF Grade: 69.8
Ricks is similar in size and lockdown ability
to another former Bama corner in Kirkpatrick. He played at both Bama and LSU
but was not a full-time player on either team. He only played in 23 games total
in 3 years of college. His tape is good but the production is limited.
99. SAN
FRANCISCO 49ERS
Jartavius
Martin-CB-Illinois
5'10"/194/4.46
NFL Comp: Rashad Fenton
PFF Grade: 73.2
Martin’s story is similar to his teammate Devon
Witherspoon as both were underrecruited coming out of the state of Florida. He
does not have the ball skills of his teammate but is a lot more physical. He
fits a nickel corner on the next level similar to Fenton.
100. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Tyler
Scott-WR-Cincinnati
5'10"/177/4.44/39.5” vert
NFL Comp: Dexter McCluster
55 receptions
904 total yards
9 TD
Scott is a former running back and former track star that is
developing as a wideout. His speed and elusiveness are evident on the tape. His
skillset and athletic ability are very valuable. He is not very physical and
has had some problems with drops.
101.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Jaquelin Roy-DL3T-LSU
6'3"/305/32.75/30 reps
NFL Comp: Justin Jones
PFF Grade: 89.6 in 21, 71.4 in 22
7 sacks and 12 TFL in 2021
Roy is a pretty safe pick in the third round.
He doesn’t do any one thing great but he is a consistent player against the
pass and run.
102.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Xavier
Hutchinson-WR-Iowa St
6’2”/203/4.53
NFL Comp: Jakobi
Meyers
107 receptions
1171 total yards
6 TD
Hutchinson is not a burner but has great hands and good
instincts. We have seen plenty of guys carve out nice roles despite speed
limitations. He would be an nice insurance policy in case they lose Brandon
Aiyuk in free agency next year.
HONORABLE MENTION:
Trey Palmer-WR-Nebraska
6’0”/192/4.33
NFL Comp: Andre
Roberts
71 receptions
1043 total yards
9 TD
Palmer is a pure deep ball threat with decent size. After not
playing much at LSU, Palmer broke out at a senior at Nebraska.
Zach Evans-RB-Ole Miss
5'11"/202
NFL Comp: Sony Michel
1055 Total Yards
10 Touchdowns
Evans was a top 20 recruit in the 2020 class and played two
seasons at TCU before transferring to Ole Miss. He had a feature role last year
where he flexed his big play potential. With only 290 attempts in his college
career Evans has very limited wear and tear on his body.
Tank Bigsby-RB-Auburn
6'0"/210/4.56/21 reps
NFL Comp: Tony Pollard
1050 Total Yards
10 Touchdowns
30 receptions
Bigsby is a great all-around athlete that has both power and
speed. He put up good numbers despite splitting carrier in the Auburn
backfield. Like Tony Pollard, he could be a 4th round steal that is
a better pro than college player.
Jakorian Bennett-CB-Maryland
5'11"/188/4.30/40.5” vert
NFL Comp: Robert Alford
PFF Grade: 71.9
Bennett put on a show at the combine with his blazing
speed and elite leaping ability. Bennett has a very strong and compact build
with massive biceps. He should be able to carve out a nice role as a second or
nickel corner.
Darius Rush-CB-S. Carolina
6'2"/198/4.36
NFL Comp: Eli Apple
PFF Grade: 77.9
Just like Jartavius Martin and Jakorian
Bennett, Rush was overshadowed by his teammate Cam Smith in the secondary. Rush
used a nice Senior Bowl and Combine to vault himself into day two discussion.
He has the requisite height, speed, length combination but lacks consistency.
Tre Hodges Tomlinson-Slot DB-TCU
5'9"/178/4.41
NFL Comp: Nickell Robey-Coleman
PFF Grade: 76.1
THT is a great all-around player that plays
much bigger than his size. It may be a cliché but that is honestly the best way
to describe what he does on a football field. His lack of height means he will
be relegated to a slot only role. He is a very safe pick in the third round as
teams know exactly what they are getting with him.
