2021 DAY TWO Mock Draft
Several highly rated prospects are still available for teams picking at the top of round two tonight. Her are my projections.
SECOND
ROUND
33. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Teven Jenkins-OL-OK St Value +7
6-6/317/81.0 wingspan/36r
NFL Comp: Billy Turner/Joel Bitino
Trevor Lawrence gets some protection as the
Jaguars pick a solid Right Tackle. Thus far,2019 second round pick Jawaan
Taylor has underperformed at tackle and may be better suited to play guard.
34. NEW YORK JETS
Jeremiah
Owusu-Koramoah-LB-Notre Dame Value +18
6-2/221/4.34/41 vert
NFL Comp: Thomas Davis/Darius Leonard
JOK was Mr. Versatility in South Bend, as he
played all linebacker spots and even played some strong safety. The Jets have
holes everywhere on the roster. New Head Coach Robert Saleh will find a variety
of ways to use him. After using both of their picks last night on offense it
would be a shock if pick #35 was not used on a defensive playmaker.
35. ATLANTA FALCONS
Trevon Moehrig-S-TCU Value +15
6’1”/202/4.52
NFL Comp: Malcolm Jenkins/John Johnson
The Falcons get the best player on the board
and fill a major need on the back end. Moehrig is no speed demon but he makes
up for it with great instincts and physical play. Atlanta lost both starting
safeties to free agency, Moehrig has a good chance to start from day one.
36. MIAMI DOLPHINS
Samuel Cosmi-OL/OT-Texas Value EVEN
6’6”/314/80.25 wingspan
NFL Comp: Riley Reiff
Miami seems to be happy with what they saw out
of 2020 first round pick Austin Jackson at left tackle. However, second round
pick Robert Hunt would fit better inside at guard. Cosmi can come in and start
at right tackle. RT is more valuable for Miami considering he would be
protecting Tua’s blindside.
37. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Asante Samuel Jr.-CB-FSU Value +6
5'10"/180/4.41
NFL Comp: Brandon Flowers/Donte Jackson
The Eagles need a ton of help at corner and
Samuel can play both outside and in the slot. Eagle fans will hope Samuel Jr.
can have a similar impact as his father did when he played in Philly from
2008-2011 earning All Pro honors twice.
38. CINCINNATI BENGALS
Creed Humphrey-C/G-Oklahoma Value -4
6-3/302/70.5 wingspan/29r
NFL Comp: Jeff Saturday/Alex Mack
Humphrey was the two time Big 12 Lineman of
the year. He can start at center or guard from day one. The Bengals must be sold on
their tackle situation as they passed on Penei Sewell last night. They still
need help on the inside in order to protect Joe Burrow.
39. CAROLINA PANTHERS
Pat Freiermuth-TE-Penn St Value -10
6'5"/251
NFL Comparison: Hunter Henry/Zach Ertz
The Panthers must draft an offensive player at
some point. New QB Sam Darnold gets a security blanket that he never had with
the Jets. This is also an ideal trade DOWN spot for a Panthers team that has
many needs to fill on offense.
40. DENVER BRONCOS
Dillon Radunz-OT-North Dakota St Value EVEN
6’6”/301
NFL Comparison: Brian O'Neil
The Broncos travel a few states over to get
the athletic tackle that is rising up draft boards. Pretty much every team
picking 33-40 could use help on the offensive line so there’s a good chance
that Radunz goes early tonight.
41. DETROIT LIONS
Terrace Marshall Jr.-WR-LSU Value -2
6-3/204/4.41/39 vert
NFL Comparison: Martavis Bryant/Rueben Randle
Pretty easy choice for the Lions get a big athletic pass catcher for new QB Jared Goff. He has all the athletic tools scouts look for in a WR but like Bryant and Randle he is still very raw as route runner.
42. NEW YORK GIANTS
Azeez Ojulari-EDGE-Georgia Value +2
6-2/249/26r/4.63
NFL Comparison: Shaquil Barrett/Jerry Hughes
The Giants need pass such help on the outside
as their top two sack leaders in 2020 were both interior defenders. Ojulari
had 9.5 sacks last year and would be a perfect fit as an OLB in the Giants
system.
43. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Elijah Moore-WR-Ole Miss Value +17
5'10"/178/4.35
NFL Comp: Tyler Lockett/Phillip
Dorsett
The 49ers get the small but explosive WR.
Moore gives Kyle Shanahan yet another weapon in the receiving core to
complement George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. Moore could also be
used as a kick returner and could end up being everything they hoped Dante
Pettis would be.
44.
DALLAS COWBOYS
Carlos “Boogie” Basham-LDE/DL5T-Wake
Forest Value +5
6’3”/274/ 20 reps
NFL Comp: Shaq Lawson
Basham would be an ideal fit as a base end to
complement DeMarcus Lawrence. He is a solid pass rusher and has good size to
set the edge.
45. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Christian Barmore-DL3T/1T-Alabama
Value +24
6’4”/310
NFL Comp: Randy Starks/Muhammad Wilkerson
Defensive back is a more pressing need (pun intended) but the value is just too much to pass up here for Barmore. He could even go with pick #33 to Jacksonville. He was an absolute monster in the College Football Playoff this year.
46. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Rondale Moore-WR-Purdue Value +13
5'7"/181/4.32
NFL Comparison: Wes Welker/Tavon Austin
Right now, the Patriots have by far and away the worst WR core in the NFL.
Moore is a Swiss army knife that can be used creatively by an offensive
coordinator. The Patriots know how to use undersized slot receivers.
47. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
Jevon Holland-S-Oregon Value -5
6'1"/207/4.47/19 reps
NFL Comp: Marcus Maye
Holland is a versatile
safety with great instincts. He can play as a deep or strong safety and even
played nickel corner at Oregon.
48. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Nick Bolton-LB-Missouri Value +5
5'11"/239
NFL Comparison: Danny Trevathan
Bolton is a tackling machine that averaged 9
tackles per game the past two seasons. He is battle tested and played well
against top competition in the SEC.
49. ARIZONA CARDINALS
Landon Dickerson-C/G/OT-Alabama
Value near EVEN
6’6”/333
NFL Comp: Brandon Linder
The Cardinals go the safe route and take the
versatile lineman. Dickerson is a high character guy that played center, guard
and tackle at Alabama. DJ Humphries is a stud at left tackle, but the other
four starters are all 30 or over.
50. MIAMI DOLPHINS
Javonte Williams-RB-UNC
Value +10
5'10"/212/22 reps
NFL Comparison: Sony Michel/Travis Henry
The Dolphins continue to improve the offense.
Williams would be an instant upgrade over any back currently on the roster
51. WASHINGTON Football Team
Jackson Carman-OT/G-Clemson Value EVEN
6’5”/317
NFL Comparison: Bryan Bulaga
Carman was a 4-year starter for Clemson and
could complete for a starting spot at either tackle position in Washington.
52.
CHICAGO BEARS
Wyatt Davis-OL/G-Ohio St Value near EVEN
6'4"/315/25r
NFL Comp: Bradley Bozeman
The Bears need upgrades along the line. Davis is a plug and play starter as a guard. He reunites with his college QB Justin Fields in Chicago.
53. TENNESSEE TITANS
Quinn Meinerz-OL/G-Wisc-Whitewater near EVEN
6'3"/320
NFL Comp: Ali Marpet
The Titans get the small school stud that can
come in and compete to start at guard or center. Incumbent center Ben Jones will be 32 and is a
free agent next year.
54.
INDIANNAPOLIS COLTS (7-9)
Liam
Eichenberg-OT-Notre Dame Value -3
6'6"/306/33r
NFL Comp: Ricky Wagner
A possible replacement at LT. Eichenberg would
be ecstatic to play with fellow Notre Dame alum Quenton Nelson.
55. PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Levi Onwuzurike-DL5T/3T-Washington Value near EVEN
6'2"/290/29 reps
NFL Comparison: Shelby Harris
The Steelers need to add some much need youth to the Defensive Line. Cameron Hayward continues to play at a high level but he will be 33. Onwuzurike could learn a lot from playing with Hayward and Stephon Tuitt. He would also fit perfect in a 3-4 defense.
56. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (11-5) only pick
Richie Grant-CB/S-UCF EVEN
6'0"/197/4.57
NFL Comp: Vonn Bell
They find Shaq Griffin’s replacement from the
same school. Seattle only has a few picks in the draft this year so this is a very likely trade DOWN spot.
57.
LOS ANGELES RAMS (10-6)
Jabril Cox-LB-LSU Value -2
6-3/232
NFL Comparison: Fred Warner/Jayon Brown
Cox may be the best coverage LB in this draft.
Like Warner, we could look back on this in a few years and Cox could end up
being a major steal. The Rams have arguably the worst LB core in the NFL.
58. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (14-2)
Joseph Ossai -EDGE-Texas Value +13
6’4”/256/41.5 vert
NFL Comp: Mario Addison
The Chiefs go best player available and have
someone to help out Chris Jones and Frank Clark with the pass rush
59. CLEVELAND BROWNS
Daviyon Nixon-DL3T/1T-Iowa Value EVEN
6'3"/313
NFL Comp: Davon Godchaux
The Browns continue to beef up the D-Line for
those late season AFC North physical games.
60. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
Tyson Campbell-CB-Georgia Value +2
6'1"/193/4.41
NFL Comparison: Desmond Trufant
The Saints need another young corner to pair
with Pro Bowler Marshon Lattimore.
61. BUFFALO BILLS
Elijah Molden-S/CB-Washington Value +8
5'11"/192
NFL Comparison: Budda Baker
The Bills get a versatile DB than can play
slot, corner or safety.
62. GREEN BAY PACKERS
Dyami Brown-WR-UNC
6'0"/189/4.45
NFL Comparison: Will Fuller
It may be too late to keep Aaron Rodgers happy
at this point but picking Brown would be a smart move even if they do the unthinkable and move on from Rodgers this summer.
63. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Trey Smith-OL/G-Tennessee
6'6"/321
NFL Comp: Davon Godchaux
The Chiefs beef up the Offensive line with the
big guard that was a two time All-SEC player at Tennessee
64. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Kyle Trask-QB-Florida Value -6
6'5"/240
NFL Comp: Nick Foles/Byron
Leftwich
Eventually Tom Brady
has to retire.
THIRD ROUND
65. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Aaron Robinson-CB-UCF Value +2
6'0"/186/4.39/37 vert
NFL Comp: Logan Ryan
The Jaguars stay in state and get an athletic DB that can plug and play as a slot corner.
66. MINNESOTA VIKINGS Via Trade Round 1
Kelvin Joseph-CB-Kentucky Value +4
6'0"/197/4.35
NFL Comp: Eli Apple
Mike Zimmer always wants long athletic cornerbacks
67. HOUSTON TEXANS (4-12) Only pick in first 3 rounds
Ronnie Perkins-EDGE/DE-Oklahoma Value +5
6'3"/253/25r/4.71
NFL Comp: Yannick Ngakoue
The team that needs everything stays in Big 12
country and takes the best player on the board
68. ATLANTA FALCONS
Alim McNeill-DL1T/3T-NC St Value +4
6'2"/317
NFL Comp: Lawrence Guy
Big space eating tackle to help take the
pressure off of All Pro Grady Jarrett
69. CINCINNATI BENGALS
Baron Browning-ILB-Ohio St Value near EVEN
6'3"/245/4.56/40v/23r
NFL Comp: Benardrick McKinney
Bengals stay in state and get an impact LB
70. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Jalen Mayfield-OL/OT-Michigan Value +3
6'5"/326
NFL Comp: Ja'Wuan James
Big offensive lineman to add much needed depth
to this unit.
71. DENVER BRONCOS
Michael Carter-RB-UNC
Value -6
5'8"/200
NFL Comparison: Gio Bernard
The ‘other’ running back from UNC is pretty
good and would work well with Melvin Gordon.
72. DETROIT LIONS
Marvin Wilson-DL3T-FSU Value -6
6'4"/303
NFL Comp: Montravius Adams/Marvin Austin
Wilson was once projected to be a top 15 pick
but had a rough season and scouts say he is very inconsistent similar to Adams
and Austin.
73. CAROLINA PANTHERS
Brady Christensen-OL/OT-BYU Value -8
6'5"/302
NFL Comp: Jason Spriggs
Need over value here as Carolina needs a RT to
help protect Sam Darnold.
74. WASHINGTON Football Team
Walker Little-OT-Stanford Value +4
6'7"/313
NFL Comp: Eric Fisher
With two picks in this round, Washington can
afford to take a risk on the highly talented but often injured left tackle.
75.
DALLAS COWBOYS
Hunter Long-TE-Boston College near EVEN
6’5”/254/4.71
NFL Comparison: Austin Hooper
Dallas is still looking to fill the void left
by Jason Witten.
76. NEW YORK GIANTS
Josh Myers-C/G-Ohio St Value -11
6'4"/315/25r 6'5"/310/29r
NFL Comp: Mitch Morse
The Giants cannot be sold on Nick Gates as the
solution at center.
77. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
Tylan Wallace-WR-OK St Value +5
5'11"/194/4.5
NFL Comp: Stefon Diggs
Ultra-competitive pass catcher that would be
perfect as a #2/3 option for Justin Herbert.
78. MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Hamsah Nasirildeen-S/DB-FSU Value +3
6'3"/216/17 reps
NFL Comp: Pat Watkins

5'9"/190/4.41
NFL Comp: Randall Cobb
Fast playmaker with kick return ability too.
84.
DALLAS COWBOYS Via Trade Round 1
Aaron
Banks-G/OL-Notre Dame Value -2
6'5"/325/24r
NFL Comp: Jordan Simmons
He is not another Zach Martin but the fellow
Notre Dame prospect can provide good depth in Dallas.
