NFL DRAFT 2014: MOCK 2.0. Matt, Tommy and Donnie Mock

FIRST ROUND

Donnie
1. HOUSTON TEXANS-JADEVEON CLOWNEY-PR/DE/OLB-SOUTH CAROLINA
I can be black out drunk and dumb and still know he's the best draft prospect.  I don't care about his so called lack of effort.  The talent is undeniable.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 1, 33.65
NEEDS: QB, PR, ILB, RT

Tommy
2. ST. LOUIS RAMS-GREG ROBINSON-OT-AUBURN
The Rams need to keep dick bag Bradford upright.  The Rams will try to trade the pick but if they stay put they go OT.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 2, 13, 44, 75
NEEDS: #1 WR, FS, RT, LCB

Matt
3. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS-KHALIL MACK-PR/OLB/LEO-BUFFALO
Mack is the perfect fit as the Leo in coach Gus Bradley's defense.  He is equally talented a both a pass rusher and a coverage LB.  He is the new age LB of the game today.  The Jags need a pass rusher in the worst way.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 3. 39, 70
NEEDS: PR, QB, RT, LG, #2 WR, Speed RB

Donnie
4. CLEVELAND BROWNS-SAMMY WATKINS-WR-CLEMSON
Too create the best young WR duo in the NFL.  Plus there's no true franchise QB in this draft.  Give Brian Hoyer a chance!!!!
Picks in first 3 rounds: 4, 26, 35, 71, 83
NEEDS: QB, #2 CB, #2 WR, ILB, Speed RB

Tommy
5. OAKLAND RAIDERS-ODELL BECKHAM JR-WR-LSU
I feel Oakland will value the deep threat WR over Mike Evans, which seems to be the consensus mock pick.  You never know what Oakland will do.  You know they won't go chalk.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 5, 36, 67
NEEDS: QB, LT, DT, #1 WR, FS, LG

Matt
6. ATLANTA FALCONS-JAKE MATTHEWS-OT-TEXAS A&M
The Falcons need a someone to protect franchise QB Matt Ryan and someone to open holes for the running game as well.  Matthews is a very versatile lineman that can play LT, RT and maybe even C.  A low risk pick for a team that is ready to contend again.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 6, 37, 68
NEEDS:  LT, PR-OLB, TE, C

Donnie
7. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS-MIKE EVANS-WR-TEXAS A&M
Tampa will try to trade down, but I have no takers, so Evans it is.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 7, 38, 69
NEEDS: #2 WR, SLB, RG, QB

Tommy
8. MINNESOTA VIKINGS-DERRICK CARR-QB-FRESNO ST
The Vikings need a franchise QB.  A surprise first QB off the board.  I think teams are taking a second look at Carr and saying, "just because his brother sucked doesn't mean he has to."
Picks in first 3 rounds: 8, 40, 72, 96
NEEDS: QB, MLB, #WLB, LG, #3 WR, DE

Matt
9. BUFFALO BILLS-ERIC EBRON-TE-UNC
The Bills can use a big, athletic TE to compliment last year's 1st round pick, QB EJ Manual.  I hate going chalk but Ebron is just too good to pass up here.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 9, 41, 73
NEEDS: RT, TE, Both S Spots, LG

Donnie
10. DETROIT LIONS-HA HA CLINTON-DIX-DS-BAMA
The Lions have major problems in the secondary.  Have you seen their depth chart?
Picks in first 3 rounds: 10, 45, 76
NEEDS:  DS, CB, LG, #3 WR

Tommy
11. TENNESSEE TITANS-BLAKE BORTLES-QB-UCF
The Titans are sprinting to the board.  Fuck Jake Locker.  Bortles is the man.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 11, 42
NEEDS:  CB, Speed RB, PR-OLB, QB

Matt
12. NEW YORK GIANTS-AARON DONALD-DT-PITTSBURGH
Screw what any Giants fans have to say.  I am sprinting to the podium.  The Giants can get the best player available AND fill a huge hole in the middle.  Donald can pair with DE Jason Pierre Paul to form a great pass rush duo.  Donald on the inside and JPP on the outside.  Donald also has great quickness and is good against the run
Picks in first 3 rounds: 19, 49, 81
NEEDS: DT, WLB, RT/G, RB, LDE

Tommy
13. ST. LOUIS RAMS-JUSTIN GILBERT-CB-OK ST.
Best player available.  They could use some help at corner
Picks in first 3 rounds: 2, 13, 44, 75
NEEDS: #1 WR, FS, RT, LCB

Donnie
14. CHICAGO BEARS-DARQUEZE DENNARD-CB-MICHIGAN ST.
The Bears were too busy eating Polish sausage to trade up for Donald.  They are now sluggishly walking to the podium.  They need a corner and who doesn't love double D's
Picks in first 3 rounds: 14, 51, 82
NEEDS: DS, DT-3T, CB

Matt
15. PITTSBURGH STEELERS-TAYLOR LEWAN-OT-MICHIGAN
The Steelers need to keep Big Ben healthy and their current LT is some guy named Kelvin Beachem.  Lewan is an instant starter with top 5 ability.
Picks in first round: 15, 46, 97
NEEDS: CB, Big WR, young TE, ILB, DE

Tommy
16. DALLAS COWBOYS-JOHNNY MANZIEL-QB-TEXAS A&M
Because Jerry Jones has an unhealthy obsession with people named Johnny.  I can't wait for the circus in big D.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 16, 47, 78
NEEDS: DT-3T, PR-DE, WLB, SS

Donnie
17. BALTIMORE RAVENS-CALVIN PRYOR-DS-LOUSIVILLE
Another safety to compliment Matt Elam.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 17, 48, 79, 99
NEEDS:  RT, DS, ILB, DE, CB, C/G Depth, #3 WR

Matt
18. NEW YORK JETS-MARQUISE LEE-WR-USC
The Jets need a big time pass catcher to compliment 2nd year QB Geno Smith.  Lee is a smooth route runner with great hands and solid deep speed. He comes from a big program and from Los Angeles so he won't be phased by the New York media and bight lights.  Lee has a chance to become everything Jets fans hoped Santonio Holmes would be.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 18, 49, 80
NEEDS: #1 WR, CB, PR-OLB, TE, RG, FS

Donnie
19. MIAMI DOLPHINS-CJ MOSLEY-ILB-BAMA
The fan in me wants Zach Martin (Notre Dame fan as well), but the GM in me wants Mosley.  We can start Mosley inside and move Dannell Ellerbe to his natural position at WLB
Picks in first 3 rounds: 19, 50, 81
NEEDS:  RT, MLB, WLB, RG, Power RB, DB Depth

Matt
20. ARIZONA CARDINALS-ANTHONY BARR-OLB/PR-UCLA
The Cards may get the steal of the draft.  The Cards have plenty of vets on D that can help the raw pass rusher develop
Picks in first 3 rounds: 20, 52, 84
NEEDS: PR-OLB, SS, 3-4 DE, ILB, backup QB

Donnie
21. CAROLINA PANTHERS (Trade up w/GB for pick #28 and #92)-ZACH MARTIN-OT-NOTRE DAME
The Panthers have a key need with the retirement of Jordan Gross. Martin is good value here and they need to keep Cam Newton upright.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 28, 60, 92
NEEDS: LT, #1 WR, CB

Donnie
22. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES-CODY LATIMER-WR-INDIANA
Not as fast as DeSean Jackson, but he's a great route runner and he's a big target that will go up and make big plays.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 22, 54, 86
NEEDS:  CB, SS, Young PR, Big WR, OL Depth

Matt
23. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS-BRANDIN COOKS-WR-OREGON ST.
What a difference a year makes!  KC went from picking 1st last year to the playoffs this year.  The Chiefs still need a lot of help at WR. Cooks would be the perfect target for weak armed QB Alex Smith. Cooks has great ability to make plays in space.  He will be an instant upgrade over Donnie Avery.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 23, 87
NEEDS: WR, RG, FS, #3 CB 3-4 DE Depth

Tommy
24. CINCINNATI BENGALS-RYAN SHAZIER-ILB-OHIO ST.

NEEDS:  CB, RDE, SLB, C/G Depth, #3 WR

Matt
25. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS-LOUIS NIX-NT/DT-NOTRE DAME
The Chargers need a starting NT to anchor their 3-4 defense.  Nix would be put in a great situation to succeed with great talent right behind him in ILB Donald Butler, All-Pro S Eric Weddle and we can't forget his former college teammate ILB Manti Te'o.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 25, 57, 89
NEEDS:  CB, NT, ILB Depth, C/G Depth, Young TE, SS

Donnie

NEEDS: QB, #2 CB, #2 WR, ILB, Speed RB

Tommy
27. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS-KYLE VAN NOY-PR/OLB-AUBURN
Van Noy is my sleeper pick as a late 1st rounder.  Last year the Saints passed on pass rusher Jarvis Jones in order to take S-Kenny Vaccaro.
Picks in first 3 rounds: 27, 58, 91
NEEDS: PR-OLB, ILB, C, #2 WR

Tommy
28. GREEN BAY PACKERS-(Trade down w/CAR)-KELVIN BENJAMIN-WR/TE-FSU

NEEDS:  CB, FS, MLB,  Speed RB, #3 WR, DL Depth

Tommy
32. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS-CHRIS BORLAND-ILB-WISCONSIN

Picks in first 3 rounds: 32, 64
NEEDS:  WR, RT, DT, RG

SECOND ROUND

Donnie

The Falcons need a pass rusher and Lawrence provides solid value here. If they draft Lawrence and Matthews, they will add two guys that can start right away. Atlanta looks like they are moving to a 3-4 this year so Lawrence would be a great fit as an OLB.
NEEDS:  LT, PR-OLB, TE, C

Donnie
38. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS-SCOTT CRIGHTON-DE/PR-OREGON ST.
Tampa needs help. I will pass over Dee Ford for the 6-3/270 pound DE that is a better 4-3 fit.
NEEDS: #2 WR, SLB, RG, QB

Matt
39. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS-TRE MASON-RB-AUBURN
Like the Texans we will also wait till the 3rd round to draft a QB. Mason was the best RB in the nation last year. He made the best defenses in the SEC look average and torched FSU in the title game as well. He can be a great compliment to power back Toby Gerhardt

NEEDS:  DS, CB, LG, #3 WR

Donnie
46. PITTSBURGH STEELERS-JORDAN MATTHEWS-WR-VANDY

NEEDS: CB, Big WR, young TE, ILB, DE

Matt
47. DALLAS COWBOYS-DOMINIQUE EASLEY-DT-FLORIDA
